Quick answer Taj Restaurant and Banquet at 247 S Bolingbrook Dr, Bolingbrook, IL hosts birthday, anniversary and graduation parties in a banquet hall for up to 100 guests, with in-house sound and projection and Hand Zabiha Halal food from its own kitchen. Smaller groups can have a reserved section of the restaurant. Call (630) 808-1832 to book.
How big a party can Taj host?
The banquet hall seats up to 100 guests — room for a milestone birthday, a 25th or 50th anniversary dinner, or a graduation party with both sides of the family. For a smaller group, such as a dinner for 15 or 20, we may suggest a reserved section of the restaurant instead, so the table feels full rather than lost in a big room.
What comes with the hall?
- Tables and chairs, with the room set to your floor plan.
- In-house sound and projection — for the birthday playlist, toasts and speeches, a "then and now" photo slideshow, or the graduate's video.
- A decorated stage with a sofa, which makes an easy backdrop for photos and cake-cutting.
- Linens, china and service staff, which can be added with your catering.
Each event is quoted to its date, headcount and plan rather than from a price list, so call us with the details and we will put a quote together with you.
Can I bring my own decorations and DJ?
Yes to your own vendors: many hosts bring their own decorator, florist, DJ or photographer, and we coordinate access and setup times with them. Balloon arches, a theme, a dessert table — tell us the plan and when your people need to get in. If you need someone, we can recommend vendors we work with regularly. For anything else you want to bring in, ask us when you book.
What food works for a birthday or graduation party?
The kitchen is on site, so food reaches your guests hot. A few spreads that work well:
- The grill: the BBQ Feast ($28.99 per person, 25-guest minimum) — two of chicken tandoori, tikka boti, malai boti, hariyali boti or beef seekh kabab, with chicken biryani, daal, naan, chutneys and a dessert.
- A classic dawat: the Royal package ($27.99 per person, our most popular) — two appetizers, two curries, two biryanis, a vegetable, naan and dessert.
- Lighter or smaller: the Classic package ($18.99 per person, 10-guest minimum) — a curry, a rice or biryani, a vegetable, naan and a dessert.
For a mixed crowd, butter chicken and malai boti are gentle enough for children, chicken 65 brings the heat, and paneer butter masala, khatti dal and aaloo gobi look after the vegetarians. Everything is certified Hand Zabiha Halal, so nobody at the table has to ask.
Can Taj cater a party at my house instead?
Yes. Order trays on the catering page — a half tray serves 8–10 and a full tray 18–20 — and pay 50% now and 50% at pickup, or in full. We deliver within 50 miles of Bolingbrook, including Naperville, Plainfield, Romeoville and Woodridge, as a drop-off or with buffet service and chafing dishes. Order at least 6 hours ahead for up to 25 guests, and a day ahead for more.
