Does Taj deliver halal catering to Aurora?
Yes. Our catering delivery area runs 50 miles from Bolingbrook, and Aurora is inside it, so you do not have to make the half-hour drive to feed a crowd. Order trays online on the catering page and pay by card — 50% now and 50% at pickup, or in full. Up to 25 guests needs at least six hours' notice; more than 25, a day ahead. We can drop off, or send attendants with chafing dishes for buffet service, with setup and cleanup included if you want it.
What should I order for a dawat at home?
If you would rather not count trays, a per-person dawat package does it for you (ten-guest minimum, ordered by phone at (630) 808-1832):
- Deluxe, $22.99 — two curries, one rice or biryani, a vegetable, naan and a dessert.
- Royal, $27.99 — the most popular: two appetizers, two curries, two biryanis, a vegetable, naan and dessert.
- Shahi Dawat, $32.99 — three appetizers, three curries, two biryanis, two vegetables, naan and two desserts.
Switching to mutton curry or mutton biryani is $2 more per person. Desserts range from Taj Shahi Kheer and shahi tukda to gajar halwa and rabdi on the larger packages.
Is everything halal?
Yes — every piece of meat is certified Hand Zabiha Halal and monitored by Halal Monitoring Services (HMS), a division of the Shariah Board of America.
